From the title, you'd never expect that this is a sweet, loving romance (with ample helpings of sizzling chemistry). Having the story told from the male perspective also gives it an interesting twist. Matthew is Bailey's boss. She['s worked for him for several years. She is quiet, reserved, efficient, and extremely organized. Her presence keeps Matthew's business a productive, well-oiled entity. She has never shared very much about her personal life or allowed personal issues to intrude upon her business persona. So Matthew is floored when she breaks down in tears in his presence after a terse phone conversation with her mother. He manages to get her to tell him about her dilemma: she is obligated to either attend the big, fancy wedding of a cousin who has emotionally abused her for her entire life sans a date or skip the wedding after fabricating a story no one believes about a hot weekend getaway with her new man. Either way, she faces derision and humiliation. (In case you're wondering, her mother has never been able to see that there is a problem with the cousin.) Matthew impulsively insists on accompanying Bailey for the weekend wedding events as her boyfriend. Now, while that scenario has been used in other books I've read, Sandra Marton's telling of the events creates a very special, romantic, sexy, heartwarming tale. Highly recommended!!!Product details

The FWord Sandra Marton 9780997291551 Books Reviews
This is the first romance book I've read that was written from the man's point of view. It was funny and honest and realistic. I loved it!!! The language gets a little crass, but nothing offensive. I highly recommend this book and am gonna see what else Sandra Marton has written 😏
Absolutely sucked me in and never let me go. I could not put it down. Unique writing style. Loved that it was the male character telling the story. Wonderful, well written, three dimensional characters. So enjoyable. Will be looking for more from this author.
This was a very good book. It's aa sweet romance with some hot loving thrown in between Matthew the boss and Bailey his assistant. She needs a date for her vicious cousin's wedding and he suggests they pretend to be a couple. It all goes screwy and gets complicated when they stop pretending. Very enjoyable.
This book was entertaining to say the least. Matthew and Bailey kept a grin on my face the entire time. Loved how easily they came together. Definitely would recommend this book. Would love to see another book with these two. Keeping my 🤞🏾.
The writing and characters were just icing. I liked this read a lot. Not familiar with this writer, but plan on looking up some of her other books soon.
What a brilliant unexpectedly sweet loving romance. This book had me hooked from the start. I love the story is from Matthew's perspective. I love Sandra Marton and this book is yet another reminder why I love this author.
This was such a nice change of pace book for me. It's told entirely from the H's POV and gives a good glimpse into the mind of that mysterious creature known as "man." Loved the first person narrative (I usually don't) and the relationships with all the women in his life. We've all had that ONE person that irritates our soul, and it was nice to see Karma take a bite out of their butt!!
